Gravestone Cleaning & Basic Restoration Class

Join us on May 18th at Greendale Cemetery in Meadville, PA to learn the basics of gravestone preservation, cleaning, and basic repair as we present a hands-on workshop, sponsored through a grant from the Crawford Heritage Community Foundation.

Led by instructor Lisa Puckley of the Corry Area Historical Society, we’ll discuss the right tools, the only appropriate chemicals guaranteed NOT to damage stones, and how to clean stones as well as reset smaller ones that may have fallen over. Participants will be able to clean a stone on site as well as take home the necessary items to do so in the future.
