Al’s Melons Farm Market is a locally owned and operated retail farm market and greenhouse business. They have gone through many changes throughout the years including building a new market and greenhouse facility in 2008 and more recently completing an addition to this market by TRIPLING the square footage of the building with the help of Griggs and Son Construction in Conneaut Lake during the summer of 2015.
Al’s Melons was started by Al and Margo Cancilla in 1998 at the corner of Rt. 6 in Linesville, PA. Since then their son, John, has purchased the business and grown it to two retail facilities: Conneaut Lake across from the Conneaut Lake Middle School, and in Meadville at the corner of Conneaut Lake Rd (Rt. 322) and Mercer Pike. (Adjacent to Dairy Queen, Sheetz, and Penn Dot.)
Al’s Melons specializes in fresh fruits and vegetables, local deli meats and cheeses, and fresh made to order subs, wraps, wedges, and pizzas! In the winter months their greenhouse thrives with seedlings that are soon transplanted in over 5000 hanging baskets, all for sale at their retail locations. Also, thousands of bedding plants, planters, vegetable plants, and specialty baskets fill our 22,000 square ft. greenhouse facility in Conneaut Lake.
Al’s is especially fun in the fall with a full corn maze and lots of pumpkins to choose from for the kids!
