Behind Every Adventure Story Is a Good Cup of Coffee

Dining

Before setting out on your adventures, it’s important to start the day right. In Crawford County, we love coffee and don’t mess around when it comes to brewing the perfect cup. These local coffee shops and cafes take their caffeinated calling seriously with unique ambiances and amazing flavors to offer any weary traveler.

If you’re near the Linesville area, be sure to stop at Twin Pies. As the name suggests, you can get more than just delicious coffee here! Baked fresh daily, Twin Pies is home to pastries that are better than Grandma’s (but don’t tell Grandma!). In addition to pies and coffee, you can also get savory sandwiches from their deli counter as well.

Traveling to Conneaut Lake, you can experience Vacavi Café. Proudly owned by lifelong Crawford County residents, Vacavi Café is the place to spend your mornings or early afternoons. Seasonal features, yummy treats, locally-sourced products and a perfect view of beautiful Conneaut Lake and marina make Vacavi a dream come true for coffee lovers. Not too far away in Saegertown lies the Traveler’s Cafe. Featuring special drinks, pastries and a globetrotter vibe, it’s a relaxing stop for wandering travelers.

Meadville is a place where local coffee shops are sprinkled between idyllic shops and restaurants in the downtown area.  French Creek Coffee and Tea Co. resides on Chestnut Street in a beautifully renovated space. Offering a variety of made-to-order coffee and tea beverages, French Creek Coffee roasts their signature flavors right in front of you in a glass room so you can watch the process. Once you have your order, head upstairs to their peaceful library for a unique place to work outside of the office.  On the lower end of Chestnut Street lives JT’s SteamTable Restaurant and Catering. In the summer they feature their Black Cat Alley patio seating that adds an artistic flair to the small downtown vibe.  Specializing in southern-flair cooking and in-house flavored coffee, JT’s SteamTable is great for a quick coffee pick-me-up or a casual lunch stop. They also offer boba tea in a variety of flavors and also feature their own creations. Just down the road is Pampered Palate which serves great coffee drinks, smoothies, wraps and salads that will make you want to come back for more! And last but never least is Cup N Spoon. This cute downtown shop offers frozen yogurt, pup cups and more in addition to their great coffee selections.

One of the coolest local coffee shops is a shop within a shop. The Mercantile at Towne Square in Titusville, known by locals as “the Merc,” is home to several great shops including Coffee Days. Coffee Days has a great selection of coffee drinks with different flavors, a variety of smoothies and one of the only locations in the county to make açai bowls. You can enjoy your Coffee Days order while shopping around at the other vendors in the Merc.
