The Spartansburg Community Fair has existed for nearly a century, and our community wouldn't be the same without it. The endurance of our fair is proof of how important it is to our community.
Targeted goals include bringing medical services to town, initiate the development of senior housing, updating the community park, promoting the community's Creek Town status, adding green spaces in and about town, preserving and passing along the history of the French Creek Valley in northwestern Pennsylvania
My work is pretty straight-forward as far as technique and media are concerned: oil on canvas applied with steel painting knives. These pieces are often begun in their natural setting as a pochade (French for "rough sketch") which is later enlarged in the studio. The pochade is a reference for light effects.
Built on the backbone of our farmers, townsfolk, and various organizations our fair strives to provide the best in family fun during the summer: fireworks, games, animals, a parade, bands, home show exhibits, rides for the kids, and (of course) fair food! Bring your family and catch up with old friends and even make some new friends!
