Canadohta Lake Area

Pennsylvania's second largest natural lake also spreads through Crawford County. One of the region's most beautiful, best-kept secrets has evolved and taken on several names over hundreds of years. Once called Oil Creek Lake because of its proximity to the Union & Titusville Railroad, Canadotah has now evolved into a relaxing and robust fishing and boating community. All of those big fish stories you've heard are true, and you can come cast your own line during any season. The annual ice fishing competition attracts fishermen (and women!) from all areas and ages.

The Blessing of the Boats kicks off the summer season each May, which is followed by water events that will please everyone from the casual sailer to the kayak adventurer. The community of Canadotah Lake even releases a summer guide every named "The Breeze". Be sure to grab yours to stay up to date on all of the season's activities!
